    $65,000 - $85,000

    What we are looking for:
    Construction Underwriter
    A client-focused insurance professional who is responsible for underwriting new and renewal business functions, including servicing of accounts. WestPac has earned the reputation of putting our partners first through responsiveness and superior service.

    This person will:
    Know WestPac products and capabilities inside and out and understand how they fit into the commercial insurance marketplace.
    Support the Brokers in the underwriting of new and renewal business through WestPac's new online marketplace division.
    Independently market WestPac's online marketplace to the Company's retail agent network and solicit submissions.
    Train retail agents on how to properly use the online marketplace's various raters.

    Review quote queues through the online platform and serve as an advisor to retail agents in the placement of these quotes.

    Seek out new carrier and product opportunities for the online marketplace and assist marketing and senior leadership in the negotiation of new carrier contracts as needed.

    Underwrite and quote premium and exposure change endorsements.
    Perform invoicing, servicing, policy issuance, and other workflow processes as needed to support online marketplace business.
    Support Brokers, Account Managers, and Customer Service Representatives in their roles/functions as needed.
    Perform workflow tasks on agency management system, proficiently and accurately as product excellence is the standard.
    Maintain positive relationships with agency and carrier contacts.
    Perform other functions as assigned by management.


    What we're looking for:
    Minimum five years in the insurance industry with construction insurance

    underwriting/marketing

    experience preferred.
    High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
    Strong verbal & written communication skills to convey professionalism in all facets of the job.
    Highly organized with the ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
    Ability to travel and engage in outbound marketing endeavors including after business hours.
    Adaptability to changes in processes and procedures.
    Values a team environment and appreciates constructive feedback.
    An active P&C license, additional insurance-related designations preferred.
