    ** INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST - CANNED**

    **Description**

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Reconciles outside warehouses and produces reconciliation reports detailing discrepancies and takes appropriate corrective action monthly.

    Assists in weekly inventory collateral reporting. Run, update, and maintain daily inventory report. Prepares weekly and monthly reports that provide audit trail and prove accuracy of inventory holdings.

    Manages unlabeled inventory. Initiates Canned label orders and Sample orders, upon instructions from the Sales Department, that will facilitate timely order preparation and shipment to meet required delivery dates.

    Maintains and update Can Pack Data Sheet.

    Assists in managing labeled inventory, weekly demand plan and forecast. Create and complete stock transfers, sales orders, and purchases in a highly accurate and timely manner.

    Review and approval of monthly storage invoices.

    Acts as the key contact person for KWL (Kent Warehousing and Labeling) and all the forward warehousing contractors to ensure accuracy of on-hand inventories and reconciliations.

    Ensures that month-end closings are timely and accurate and reflect the true status of inventory activity.

    Maintains all the database details for product grading standards for NFPA and Bumble Bee Seafoods.

    Assists in answering consumer inquiries and complaints for the INVETCanned Department.

    Assists in maintaining and updating canned production compliance standards certificates.

    Assists inventory manager by working with warehouse, sales, production, logistics and management to set-up procedures and reports that will ensure user satisfaction of inventory information.

    **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

    Minimum two (2) years comparable related experience

    3-5 years of related inventory accounting experience.

    Previous seafood industry exposure highly recommended.

    Requires independent judgment and the ability to problem solve and think critically.

    Strong math and analytical skills, advanced knowledge of Excel, 10 key by touch.

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Ability to work independently and as an integral part of the accounting department.

    Accounting degree preferred.

    Ability to work extended hours as needed.
