    • Mission Support Job Description The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an On-Site Engineer to provide technical engineering/architectural support and full project management support for a variety of projects from initial concept planning, development of full biddable engineering design and construction packages ready for contract procurement and technical administrative support of the project through to completion and closeout
    Periodic travel may be required
    Examples of the types of projects include, but is not limited the following:


    • Road Repairs
    • Security Gate Upgrades
    • Security Retrofits
    • Boiler Repairs
    • Chiller Repairs
    • HVAC Repairs
    • Catwalks
    • Upgrade Labs
    • Covered Parking
    • Campus Utility Metering
    • MEP projects Skills & Requirements Required Experience & Skills
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of technical experience managing and developing facilities/site designs (electrical, mechanical, civil and structural/architectural) for new construction and/or renovation projects to existing facilities/structures
    • Performing technical site assessments and providing engineering recommendations for design/construction solutions
    • Developing biddable Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Developing Independent Government Estimates (IGE)
    • Providing technical support to contracting during the Bid phase
    • Reviewing project submittals to meet applicable requirements, specifications, technical criteria/codes
    • Desired engineering experience includes work performed on agricultural research facilities and laboratories Preferred Experience & Skills
    • Experience with government acquisition process/requirements a plus Required Education
    • Shall possess a degree from an ABET accredited engineering college Qualifications *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government
