    Novato Unified School District (NUSD) has 700+ staff members who, along with the larger school community, are responsible for the education of over 7,500 students.

    We have eight elementary schools, including one dual-immersion, one K-8 school, two middle schools, and two comprehensive high schools.

    NUSD also has an Alternative Education Center housing a continuation school and an independent study student program serving grades K-12.

    All schools within Novato Unified offer special education services, along with Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and special assistance is provided for all English learner students.

    Novato Unified School District is excited to find a School Psychologist to support our student community.

    The ideal applicant would be coming to us with a preliminary or clear California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology or is an aspiring educator in the process of obtaining appropriate credentialing to qualify for an emergency permit.

    Novato is a suburb located in north Marin County, with a population of approximately 53,000. We are a close-knit community, with a number of our population being lifelong citizens. Many of our NUSD parents attended Novato schools themselves.

    Our community is known for its more than 3,600 acres of open space, which include a number of popular hiking and biking trails.

    New NUSD certificated staff may transfer in up to 15 years' experience, allowing for placement on Step 1- teaching experience subject to verification of employment.

    Novato Unified School District provides a $1,000 annual Stipend for School Psychologists. Novato Unified is only accepting applications on EdJoin.
