    Specialist
    • Chemical Safety & Security FocusUltradent, a global name in oral healthcare, is looking for a bright, humble, and motivated?Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist?to support our chemical safety and security initiatives in both a corporate and manufacturing environment.
    ? As our?EHS Specialist you will help re-enforce a culture that builds employee safety and strengthens the working climate by supporting and participating in all safety improvement activities for the company.? In all activities, you will look to Standardize, Assess, Facilitate, and Escalate EHS activities, programs, and practices while educating and providing excellent customer service.
    This full-time position will typically work a 'swing shift' style schedule
    • Monday to Friday, starting at 1:00 pm or 2:00pm but may have on call responsibilities shared with the whole EHS Department.
    The following are some important job duties the EHS Specialist would be responsible for:

    • Reports to the Chemical Safety & Security (CSS) Senior Lead and supports the CSS Team in the development and maintenance of programs, training, tools, and documents.
    • Provides a cultural fit including care, humility, integrity, innovation, and patience.
    • Recognizes process improvement opportunities, communicates issues to the EHS Senior Lead, and actively assists in resolution of issues.
    • Champions employee involvement to identify and address safety & security concerns.
    • Provides coverage and response to system outages, employee injuries, chemical spills, and security incidents.
    • Gains an in depth understanding and remains current on chemical safety and security regulations and concepts.
    • Participates in EHS audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, inspections and ensure closure of corrective actions, as appropriate.
    • Effectively interacts with internal customers and external agencies and resources.

    What we're looking for in you:

    • The skills and capacity to do the duties listed above, regardless of your prior experience or education.
    • Ideally, 6 months to 2 years of experience in the EHS or adjacent field OR bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, chemistry, or related field.
    • Appreciation and support of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) philosophies as well as psychological safety for all.
    • Basic understanding of how federal, state, and local laws, standards and regulations operate.
    • Computing skills, including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, mobile apps, etc.
    • Possess and exemplify the values upon which Ultradent is built.
    • Must look stylish and confidently wear a hi-vis vest and other appropriate PPE.
