- Chemical Safety & Security FocusUltradent, a global name in oral healthcare, is looking for a bright, humble, and motivated?Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist?to support our chemical safety and security initiatives in both a corporate and manufacturing environment.
- Monday to Friday, starting at 1:00 pm or 2:00pm but may have on call responsibilities shared with the whole EHS Department.
- Reports to the Chemical Safety & Security (CSS) Senior Lead and supports the CSS Team in the development and maintenance of programs, training, tools, and documents.
- Provides a cultural fit including care, humility, integrity, innovation, and patience.
- Recognizes process improvement opportunities, communicates issues to the EHS Senior Lead, and actively assists in resolution of issues.
- Champions employee involvement to identify and address safety & security concerns.
- Provides coverage and response to system outages, employee injuries, chemical spills, and security incidents.
- Gains an in depth understanding and remains current on chemical safety and security regulations and concepts.
- Participates in EHS audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, inspections and ensure closure of corrective actions, as appropriate.
- Effectively interacts with internal customers and external agencies and resources.
- The skills and capacity to do the duties listed above, regardless of your prior experience or education.
- Ideally, 6 months to 2 years of experience in the EHS or adjacent field OR bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, chemistry, or related field.
- Appreciation and support of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) philosophies as well as psychological safety for all.
- Basic understanding of how federal, state, and local laws, standards and regulations operate.
- Computing skills, including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, mobile apps, etc.

- Must look stylish and confidently wear a hi-vis vest and other appropriate PPE.
