    Job Title: Behavioral Intervention Paraprofessional

    We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to support students with special needs in our district.

    About the Position:

    This part-time position will involve providing behavioral guidance and academic support to students, working closely with teachers, BCBA/BCaBAs, and other professionals to implement Applied Behavior Analysis strategies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide behavioral guidance and academic support to students according to their IEP or other instructional program.
    • Participate in regular training sessions on Applied Behavior Analysis-based strategies and data collection systems.
    • Record daily data on behaviors of interest, including advanced data collection methods.
    • Implement antecedent strategies, reinforcement systems, replacement skills, and consequences as defined by the behavioral intervention plan.
    • Work collaboratively with other professionals to address student needs and maintain confidentiality.
    • Maintain respect for all students and demonstrate a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.

    Requirements:

    • Coursework in psychology, sociology, early childhood development, education, social work, behavior sciences, human development, or related fields is preferred.
    • Experience working with children with special needs or challenging behavior is preferred.
    • Ability to learn and apply principles of Applied Behavior Analysis is essential.
    • Good oral communication skills and ability to collaborate with other team members are required.
    • Required background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
