- Replace tires and tire related parts.
- Properly secure asset to lift to ensure safe operation.
- Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on assets.
- Properly dismount and remount tires onto wheels without damaging either component.
- Operate all related equipment and tools as trained.
- Operate independently and as a team member.
- Evaluate tires, determine and assess tire use verses misuse.
- Handle and perform road call repairs.
- Assist in performing inventory control accurately.
- Paperwork/computer work - perform any and all related requirements.
- Know and follows all OSHA, MSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid Chauffer's license.
- Clean driving record for past 5 years.
- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
- Tire repair certification and/or previous experience.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Able to handle unexpected situations at a moment's notice.
- Strong work ethic.
- Computer knowledge.
- Mechanical - Knowledge of equipment, machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

Job DescriptionTeam Elmer's is looking to fill a full-time opening for a Tire Technician at the Traverse City location. This position will will repair and replace tires on assets including but not limited to: cars, trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
