    Description

    Primary Purpose: Produce timely and accurate payments to vendors. Maintain organized and detailed records of transactions.

    Essential Functions:

    • Assist with month end close responsibilities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analyses and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare and post journal entries for all companies including preparing, accumulating, and analyzing various supporting documentation.
    • Assist with the reconciliations of various general ledger accounts each month and perform financial statement analysis to identify unusual variances in the accounts.
    • Prepare and file sales and use tax filings and ensure state compliance.
    • Assist with annual budget template preparation.
    • Maintain compliance with GAAP.
    • accounting controls and processes.
    • Assist with the year-end financial audit process with external auditors.
    • Assist in the documentation of processes and procedures of assigned accounting areas.
    • Contribute to the team effort by completing other related tasks as needed.
    • Ad - Hoc reporting for selected balance sheet accounts
    • Preform special projects as required by Management.
    • Foster good employee/management relations.
    • Promote teamwork by fostering partnerships with key departments.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelorsin accounting or comparable business degree.
    • 1-3 years combined public and/or private accounting experience.
    • ERP systems experience a plus

    Other:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Strong knowledge of personal computers including Microsoft Office software.
    • Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages.
    • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
    • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards.
