Position Summary
Assumes responsibility for providing direct clinical services, crisis response, and psychosocial evaluations for students. Engages in outreach programming and prevention initiatives to support campus mental health. Actively participates in supervising predoctoral externs. Accrues clinical and supervision hours required to sit for national and Connecticut state licensing boards. In all actions, maintains professional standards of confidentiality and ethics in accordance with established guidelines and appropriate professional associations.
Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the well-being and education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility
Provides individual and group treatment and evaluation to students presenting with a wide range of psychosocial and psychiatric concerns.

Engages in outreach, prevention, consultation, psychoeducation, and training programs for the University community in order to promote wellness and raise awareness on mental health topics.

Provides risk assessment and crisis management, including after-hours consultation through an emergency on-call system.

Provides training, supervision, and guidance to graduate student trainees.

Maintains strict confidential clinical records to provide a basis for referral, coordination of care, professional consultation, and summary reports as needed.

Works with department staff and trainees in a multidisciplinary team environment in order to provide the best collaborative care for CAPS clients.
