    JOB SUMMARY


    The Maintenance Manager will oversee a variety of functions within the Maintenance Department including the development and implementation of processes to minimize mechanical downtime and optimize preventative maintenance techniques.

    The Maintenance Manager will also work with/manage contractors/vendors working with the maintenance department. The Maintenance Manager will ensure efficient operation and cost effective repair of equipment and infrastructure.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    4 year Technical degree or equivalent

    Certifications not required; however, certificates in the following areas are valuable:

    Government Approvals Electrical, Boiler, Hydraulics, Chemical Handling, Programming, OSHA, Welding, Wastewater Treatment

    10 years' experience in any three (3) of the major areas listed below in a plant environment:

    Facilities Management, Equipment Maintenance, Engineering, Project Leadership, Preventative Maintenance

    Computer proficiency - Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, & AutoCAM preferred

    Electrical skills - knowledge of industrial electricity, Power Plant Administration

    Mechanical skills - knowledge/ability in industrial mechanics

    Welding skills

    Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    Excellent Communication Skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels

    • Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and pre requisite program requirements.
