    Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable our client business unit plants to reach our client Operating Advantage requirements, leverage Ready-to-Deploy solutions through engagement of Center of Excellence Teams, and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production.

    As a Quality & Reliability Technician I on our team, you'll have the opportunity to gain immediate hands-on work experience in medical device manufacturing. As well as get exposure to the medical device industry and its practices.

    In this challenging and rewarding position, you will support the Manufacturing engineering organization to assure product meets customer requirements. Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, component manufacture and dimensional requirements. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications. Develop and implement quality plans and procedures using statistical quality control, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools.

    Should be familiar with manufacturing principles such as machining, stamping, assembly, and molding. Must be able to work as a team member with remote sites and outside vendors. Individual to be a self-starter and require minimum supervision, having excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under schedule pressures and balance priorities is essential.

    Responsibilities

    Complete basic programming of automated inspection devices such as a Micro-Vu, Keyence, Smartscope, Ram Optical or Mititoyo.

    Document inspection standards or best-known methods for fixturing and measuring parts.

    Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, and toolmakers microscopes.

    Apply workmanship standards in the inspection of components and assemblies in order to assess acceptability.

    Read engineering drawings interpreting Geometric Tolerancing and develop the corresponding quality inspection plans (QIP) for components and assemblies.

    Read and interpret quality specifications and requirements.

    Manipulate statistical data using programs such as Minitab or JMP.

    Prepare reports and present to the manufacturing engineering team.

    Be a resource for design of experiments (DOE) and capability studies.

    Analysis of quality and process data (ppm, scrap, Pareto, CPK, COPQ etc.)

    Work with teams to plan & collect data for problem solving or process improvements.

    Manage process documentation, tools and equipment.

    Assist in standard engineering tests and experiments with attention to detail.

    Assist in writing and documenting process instructions.

    Create/Improve manufacturing processes and process documentation.

    Coordinate with different functional groups as required.

    What your background should look like:

    2-year technical degree or Five (5) years of experience as a quality technician in a manufacturing environment.

    Or BA/BS in Engineering or Life Sciences (preferred) - Summer before final year pursuing a bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a Master's or Doctorate degree, graduating between December May 2026

    Mathematical knowledge including but not limited to tolerances, rounding, averages, min/max, significant digits, fractions, and statistics.

    Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Minitab

    Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, organization skills.

    Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives.

    Ability to plan, establish and coordinate test and inspection procedures, conduct process capability studies, prepare statistical quality control data.

    Ability to prioritize and manage a large workload with multiple priorities.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

    Demonstrated expertise in quality concepts, practices, and procedures.

    Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making.
