    Description
    Accountability

    Reporting to the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for running the restaurant in the absence of management personnel.

    The Shift Supervisor oversees crew members on a shift to provide guests with a great dining experience while upholding service and quality standards.

    Key Business Areas:
    • Leads hourly employees to execute and adhere to brand standards
    • Coordinates and directs restaurant activities based on guest traffic flow
    • Monitors sales, employee hours, and guest counts for proper staffing
    • Directs employees to fulfill job duties and priorities
    • Coaches employees on guest service skills and service cycle
    • Interacts with guests regarding food and service
    • Addresses complaints courteously and notifies management of issues
    • Ensures correct cash handling procedures are followed
    • Monitors employee breaks as scheduled
    • Completes shift walk-throughs and takes corrective actions
    • Ensures cleanliness, safety, and appeal of the building
    • Handles guest and employee emergencies and security incidents
    • Brings employee relations issues to management's attention
    • Maintains compliance with employment policies and regulations
    • Records shift activities in the log book
    • Builds strong team relationships and positive work environment
    • Assists with hourly employee training and development
    • Adheres to Brand Standards and internal policies
    • Provides courteous service to team members and guests
    • Performs assigned tasks and duties
    • Assists others as needed
    Essential Functions:
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
    • Bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and grasping
    • Good hearing in a loud environment
    • Compliance with health regulations
    • Serving all menu products
    • Basic math skills
    • Handling hazardous chemicals
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
    • Mobility to move and operate in confined areas
    • Working inside and outside
    • Observing staff and operations
    • Operating the point of sale system
    • Standing and walking throughout a shift
    • Tolerating temperature changes
    Position Qualifications:
    • Completion of e-learning modules
    • Anti-harassment and discrimination training
    • Management Food Safety Certification
    • Professional appearance
    • Value on diversity and respect for others
    • Ability to problem solve and handle high stress
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Effective communication in English
    • Reading and implementing instructions
    • Basic math and cash handling
    • Availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings
