Job summary

The Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization's customers receive the auto parts they need promptly and efficiently. The driver's ability to execute efficient delivery routes and make accurate and timely deliveries builds customer loyalty and contributes to the organization's reputation for reliability and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities include driving knowledge of common routes planning ahead keeping focused while transporting parts from one location to another ensuring goods or materials are transported safely efficiently on time and in good condition to each location complying with federal state regulations governing commercial motor vehicles operating hours safety inspections vehicle logs as needed ensuring vehicles driven are scheduled for service repairs when necessary performing pre- post-trip safety checks reports basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels tire pressure safe vehicle operation speed limits driver courtesy construction zone awareness reporting driving violations operational concerns damage immediately supervisor regardless perceived significance following loading unloading procedures securing parts properly during transit using appropriate handling equipment distributing weight safety protocols completing pre-post trip inventory manifest checklists reporting in-transit delivery damage collecting COD payments recording electronically manifest communicating professionally courteously customers sales staff dispatch making returns documented verifying shop don't have more returns return with you maintaining clean work environment.
