- Develop analyses, dashboards and reporting to measure the effectiveness of different marketing strategies across the funnel, from brand, to acquisition, to engagement
- Serve as a strategic advisor to marketing leaders and other leadership, offering data-driven insights and recommendations for strategic planning and goal-setting, proactively identifying opportunities for continued growth
- Manage reporting of key marketing metrics and spend data in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders such as finance and product
- Develop and improve internal models for things like attribution, media mix, and LTV forecasting
- Design and orchestrate incrementality tests to identify stronger causal relationships between campaigns and conversion and other experimentation methods to measure complex go-to-market campaigns in nascent markets
- Minimum of 5+ years using analytics to drive key business decisions, specifically in the context of marketing
- Significant experience with SQL and visualization tools such as Amplitude or Mode
- An understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation design, and common analytical techniques like regression
- Expertise in building marketing attribution and LTV models
- A solid background in running marketing experiments to optimize the marketing funnel, including but not limited to landing page A/B tests, CRM sequencing, and messaging tests
- Past experience as a performance or growth marketer is highly desirable as well as previous work in consumer technology and/or subscription businesses

English is the global language of business, culture, and communication, and over 1.5 billion people around the world are actively trying to learn right now. Others dream of communicating with the half-billion native Spanish speakers across the globe. The problem is that it's nearly impossible to learn to speak a language without constant access to a speaking partner. Grammar and vocab apps don't really help – you need to actually converse with someone.
Speak is on a journey to fix this. We're creating an AI-powered experience that replicates the flow of a conversation, without needing a human on the other end. The goal is to make it radically more accessible to be able to have conversations in a foreign language and eventually help hundreds of millions of people gain fluency who otherwise wouldn't be able to.
We started on this journey over five years ago and we've still got a long ways to go. We're thoughtfully adding new team members only when we think they can truly play a big role in our mission.
Speak launched first in South Korea where we have quickly grown to become the top grossing education app in the country. We have now delivered this winning product to more than 30 countries globally and are continuing to expand to more markets in the coming months. The company is well funded, raising a recent Series B backed by investors like OpenAI, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Lachy Groom, Josh Buckley, and others. We're a team of 60 based primarily in SF, Seoul, Tokyo, and Ljubljana.
About This RoleWe're looking for a Marketing Analytics & Strategy Lead to drive Speak's growth through analytics and insights. This pivotal first of its kind hire will partner closely with members across marketing and product growth teams to help them understand the impact they are driving to Speak. A strong candidate will bring a combination of deep technical marketing expertise and a proven ability to provide actionable recommendations to maximize efficient user acquisition and engagement both in the US and across global markets.

Compensation Range: $140K - $215K
