    What you'll be doing:

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop secure and trusted firmware for ARM-based systems, with an emphasis on BootROM development.
    • Architect, implement and maintain BootROM components to establish a secure and trusted boot process.
    • Implement and maintain ARM Trusted Firmware components to ensure secure boot, firmware update, and system initialization.
    • Analyze and optimize firmware code for performance, memory usage
    • Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and validation of firmware components to identify and resolve issues promptly.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for firmware design, code, and development processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components.
    • Support the development of diagnostic Firmware for a plethora of embedded CPUs
    • Support pre-silicon validation of the SOC using an emulation platform

    What you must have:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • 15+ years of demonstrated experience developing embedded system Firmware for ARM-CPU-based SOCs from requirements into validated implementations.
    • Strong knowledge of ARM-CPU architecture and ARM-based SOCs
    • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
    • Familiarity with secure boot, trust zone technology, and ARMv8 architecture.
    • Experience with debugging tools and hardware interfaces (JTAG, SWD).
    • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Solid understanding of SOC-based systems and low-level software
    • Experience developing embedded software at levels from bare-metal, Trusted Firmware (or similar) to embedded Linux drivers.
    • Proficiency with industry-standard software engineering tools such as Git, Jenkins, GDB/Lauterbach debugging, Buildroot, configuration management, and continuous integration.

    Bonus points

    • Experience with PCIe, networking drivers, and peripheral drivers
    • Experience using emulation platform for development and debug
    • Being able to read SystemVerilog
    • Familiarity with interpreting captured waveforms.
    • Knowledge of how to use lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers is a plus.

    The salary range for this position is $161,500 - $237,500. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
