**Position Title:** Home Care Manager / Agency Administrator
**Overview:** The Home Care Manager/Agency Administrator is a qualified person appointed by the Senior Director of Health Services to administer, direct, and coordinate the activities of the Agency. The Home Care Manager/Agency Administrator assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Agency. The Home Care Manager/Agency Administrator is a direct associate of the Agency. An administrator shall designate, in writing, for each licensed entity, a qualified alternate administrator to serve during the administrator's absence. The alternate administrator must meet the same qualifications as the administrator as shown in the law and rule in the standard. The Home Care Manager/Agency Administrator reports to the Senior Director of Health Services.
An administrator may manage only one home health agency. except that an administrator may manage up to five home health agencies if all five home health agencies have identical controlling interests as defined in s and are located within one agency geographic service area or within an immediately contiguous county. If the home health agency is licensed under this chapter and is part of a retirement community that provides multiple levels of care, an associate of the retirement community may administer the home health agency and up to a maximum of four entities licensed under this chapter or chapter 429 which all have identical controlling interests as defined in s
**Essential Job Functions:**
Conducts program strategic planning and evaluates services offered, agency personnel, and all executed programs
Responsible for staffing and updating organizational chart delineating lines of authority from the administrative to the client level
Coordinates staff development trainings (i.e., orientation, in-service education, continuing education etc.) and ensures program personnel are kept up to date with industry information and practices
Assumes responsibility for each client receiving services
Develops and maintains department policies and procedures and ensures ongoing compliance
Assures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and accrediting body rules, regulations and standards
Plans, develops, implements, and administers a quality improvement program to address internal issues related to ensuring care is provided within regulatory guidelines and that ethical concerns are addressed
Monitors billing and collection practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Responsible for annual budget
Attains quarterly goals as established in the annual performance evaluation
Designates in writing a direct associate who meets qualifications stated in state regulation to serve as an alternate on site administrator during absences
Cooperates with other health related agencies and organizations in community activities
Maintains confidentiality of patient, agency and associate matters
Notify Agency for Health Care Administration prior to or on the date of changes in administrator or alternate administrator or address changes
Performs other duties as required
**You Have:**
Current and valid license in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 2 years supervisory and/or administrative experience in home health care administration with one year of supervisory and/or administrative experience in health related field in Florida
Basic proficiency in Microsoft office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Clearance from human resources for pre-employment screening, i.e., TB, FDLE screening
CPR and First Aid Certification or eligible
Must have reliable transportation for travel to and between clients within Alachua County, Florida
