    Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance and knowledge to the TST engineers providing support to the MTC Conduct overall management coordination for all training environment technical, networking, MCIS integration and required operational support to support these training events; requires an overall working knowledge base of all positions on the team in order to act as the most senior engineer/mentor
    • Provide design, engineering, integration, development, sustainment, installation, testing and acceptance of information systems
    • Develop engineering designs and technical solutions based on functional and operational requirements
    • Conduct system performance analyses, cost/performance tradeoff analyses, and survivability and risk analyses
    • Develop unit test, and package software and scripting
    • Provide Integration and Test Support Integration of the Mission Control System subsystems
    • Participate in verification and validation activities (planning, execution, test reports)
    • Support the development of Interface Control Documents (ICD)
    • Define and implement standard operating procedures, implement DoD, Army, and MTC policies, and create and implement plans of action and milestones (PAOA&M) in response to vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits and inspections
    • Assure successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate IT policies and procedures that are consistent with the organizations mission's goals
    • Provide operator, instructor, and technical and administrative support necessary to sustain and enhance the effective training of U.S. Army Commanders and their staffs
    • Provide IT Technical Support for the MTC and its functional training teams
    • Manage MCS and other related systems with IAVAs and updates
    • Analyze progress and develop necessary recovery plans and/or alternatives
    • Manage and lead the TST with administrative and training oversight of assigned personnel ensuring successful execution to the highest of standards

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Networking or Information Technology or related field (IT Project Management preferred)
    • 8 years of experience with Military training/training support (preferred) and Systems Engineering
    • Digital Master Gunner qualified (preferred)
    • 3 years of experience in MCIS integration at Brigade or higher echelons
    • Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience with disciplined system engineering processes applied to the delivery of complex, hardware/software systems
    • Detailed understanding of hardware and software development processes
    • Significant development experience in two or more of the following technical areas: RF, Hardware, Software, Communications systems, Network, and Infrastructure
    • Ability to use good judgement and common sense when performing job functions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks at the same time under stressful situations
    • Experience working with multi-discipline, geographically dispersed teams
    • Demonstrated Leadership skills
    • Strong understanding of the LVCG concepts

    Physical Demands

    • Outdoor and Office working environments; exposure to natural conditions existing at different locations around the US
    • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
    • Occasional travel and overtime may be required

    Required Clearances and Screenings

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information

    Certification

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification
