    Job Description

    The Director of Global Total Rewards plays a pivotal role in our organization and is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of our total rewards program. This role oversees and directs a staff that supports the benefits and compensation programs, policies, and procedures, all crucial to our HR and business strategies. The Director of Global Total Rewards is a leader within our company and a key player in the global business landscape, developing innovative approaches to base salary, short and long-term incentives (including equity programs), and benefits. This role recommends and executes competitive best practices with a global perspective, allowing the function to scale in size, geography, and organizational complexity as the company continues to grow.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted partner, owning the total rewards philosophy and approach.
    • Benchmark activities across all areas of total rewards to elevate the understanding of our global competitiveness.
    • Lead all global compensation processes - salary planning and administration, variable pay development and administration, global benefits programs, and annual open enrollment.
    • Create and communicate salary ranges/grades/bands globally.
    • Manage job leveling, salary surveys, and market analysis to make comprehensive recommendations. Understand current and emerging market trends to identify potential opportunities and gaps.
    • Develop, implement, and administer programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, marketplace competitiveness, and internal equity.
    • Manage, report, and administer Equity programs.
    • Lead all benefit programs globally, differentiating between statutory offerings and competitive practices.
    • Build internal tools and resources for leadership and team members to manage compensation decisions.
    • Plan, direct, and supervise all activities and employees related to the administration and maintenance of employee benefits programs, including group health, life, disability, and leave management.
    • Serve as primary contact with providers for contract management and vendor negotiation.
    • Work in partnership with insurance consultants to ensure company compliance with Federal, State, and other regulatory agencies to limit company exposure to liability associated with fiduciary responsibilities.
    • Remain current on benefit and employment law changes and trends and proactively offer input on actions needed to comply with U.S. employment laws, governmental agencies, or fiduciary requirements pertaining to U.S. employees and benefit plans, as well as our international benefits programs.
    • Facilitate required government reporting, non-discrimination testing, and required employee communications.
    • Lead HR Operations team and own HRIS system.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, Masters preferred.
    • At least ten years of demonstrated experience in total rewards, compensation, equity, and benefits.
    • Experience with self-funded and fully funded plans is required.
    • Demonstrate experience with base salary, market pricing, variable pay, performance management, job evaluation, data analysis, and cost modeling for US and Global teams.
    • Global benefit experience, including health and welfare plans, leave management, time off practices, and retirement plans.
    • Roll-up-your-sleeves mentality, as this is a senior leadership position but heavily involved in individual contributor work with a desire to build programs and systems from the ground up.
    • Experience in high-growth environments with the ability to handle shifting priorities and multitasking in a deadline-oriented environment.
    • Flexible and creative, comfortable with ambiguity, organized and detail-oriented.
    • Clear communications that can bridge a big-picture vision and a tactical plan that our employees understand at the lowest level of detail.
    • Analytically driven, demonstrating strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
    • Strong business acumen, financially astute, and detail-oriented.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred; Certified Comp Professional (CCP) preferred.
