We have a Senior Forensic Engineer in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Job Description

Our Forensic Engineering Department focuses on the investigation of buildings and structures that are failing or aging.
The primary areas of competence and responsibility will be assessments of residential and commercial structural components and building envelopes including field work, performing detailed inspections, taking notes and photographs, preparing written reports; and preparing designs and drawings for repairs.
This position will require you to work independently and as part of a team, so we need very good communicators who are able to multi-task and work well with others.
As a Senior Forensic Engineer, youll be handling your own projects from intake to invoicing, with the possibility of providing mentoring and training to junior associates.
You will also be responsible for responding to emergency investigation requests 24-7 which may impact public safety.
This position has the opportunity to develop into a Department Head role.

Requirements

B.S. in Civil, Structural, Materials Science, or related engineering or Architecture;
Current Professional Engineering or Architect license in PA, NJ, DE, MD (or ability to obtain it);
Valid drivers license;
Ability to carry lb. ladder;
Be comfortable with heights and walking on sloped roofs;
Ability to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 Clearances.
