Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in designing and applying modern microelectronics technologies. The Microelectronics Designs and Applications (MDA) Business Area focuses on leveraging superconductivity and quantum mechanics to create energy-efficient computing systems that challenge traditional norms.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Engineering & Sciences (E&S) seeks candidates for the role of an MDA Hardware & Sciences Engineering Manager 2 to support NGMC MDA in Annapolis Junction or Linthicum, MD.

What You'll Get To Do:

Lead a team of 8-12 technical staff in a management role, overseeing staffing, performance management, and career development.
Engage in technical work supporting MDA programs such as materials science, superconducting electronics, quantum mechanics, computer architectures, and more.
Collaborate with program management to ensure successful project execution within set targets.
Identify skill gaps, provide technical training, and enhance team performance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 9+ years of experience, Master's degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in an engineering field.
Demonstrated expertise in areas such as materials science, superconducting electronics, quantum mechanics, and computer architectures.
Strong leadership skills, communication, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in relevant fields, 12 years of multi-disciplinary engineering experience, and success in leading high-performance teams.
Experience with Lean-Agile development and active security clearance.

Salary Range: $145,000 - $217,400

Northrop Grumman offers competitive salaries based on various factors, including job scope, experience, and market conditions. Along with base pay, employees may be eligible for bonuses and benefits like health insurance, paid time off, and more.
