    Description:

    The individual filling this position will be responsible for operating the instruments used to perform the initial analysis on urine and oral specimens for substances of abuse.


    • Advanced ability to understand analytical techniques and procedures. (GC-MS, LC-MS, and/or HPLC)


    • Advanced ability to understand laboratory instrumentation


    • Advanced ability to understand certification requirements for SAMSHA, CAP-PUDT, and other relevant

    regulatory bodies


    • Basic ability to understand the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratory

    computer systems


    • Basic understanding of drugs that are tested


    • Math and reasoning ability to develop and communicate laboratory procedures and reports


    • Ability to read and comprehend the SOP, Federal (49 CFR Part 40), and CAP-FUDT guidelines

    Hours: The position is Tuesday - Saturday 4pm-12:30am

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:


    • BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Technology


    • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required for Technologist level
