- Prepares and serves a variety of foods according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Supervises food production employees to ensure continuity and quality service.
- Follows safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Work in and around congestion, noise, and fluctuating temperatures in the kitchen area and use potentially hazardous equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to set up, operate, and clean up the following equipment: Meat Slicer, Steam Table, Blender, Steamer, Mixer, Range, Oven, Garbage Disposal, Dish Machine, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Electric Can Opener, Ice Maker, Electric Knife, refrigerator, Freezer, Food Processor.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with customers in all age groups.

Description
Fall River Health is looking for an experienced full-time Cook to supervise and direct food service operations, coordinate the preparation and serving of food for regular meals, special diets, and events, and coordinate the activities of the kitchen and dining room in the absence of the Certified Dietary Manager/Food Services Manager. Determines substitutions of menu items based on documentation of resident likes and dislikes and within the restriction of individual diet orders, policies, and procedures. Provides work direction and guidance for the food service workers to ensure that all foods are prepared by the scheduled time. Provides input to the Dietary Manager regarding the performance of kitchen employees and may call employees in to work as necessary.
Shifts will vary and will include weekends. In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon Fall River Health Services' needs or requirements.
