    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist for a 13-week contract, requiring at least 1 year of echocardiography experience and certification as RCS, RDCS, or ARDCS.

    Responsibilities

    • Position based in a cardiac noninvasive lab
    • 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
    • Rotating weekend call required with occasional 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM weekend shifts
    • Minimum of 10 days of call per month
    • Assignment spans 13 weeks
    • May float to an outpatient center within the hospital approximately once every few weeks
    • Procedures include echocardiograms (with/without Definity), treadmill stress echoes, dobutamine stress echoes, and TEEs
    • Requires use of Epic for documentation
    • Main responsibilities include performing and documenting a variety of cardiac echo procedures
    • Orientation period is 5 days
    • Holidays may be assigned as needed upon arrival
    • Red scrubs are required
    • Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory
    • COVID vaccination is not required

    Requirements

    • Current RCS, RDCS, or ARDCS certification required
    • Active BLS certification through AHA required
    • Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an Echo Technologist
    • Proficiency in performing echocardiograms, stress echoes, and TEEs
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • License required if applicable
    • No local candidates within a 100-mile radius will be considered
