The Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVRU)
The CVRU is a dynamic 9-bed critical care unit next to the Meijer Heart Center OR's, dedicated to providing top-notch recovery care for patients post different cardiac surgeries such as CABG, valve procedures, aortic repair, ablations, and TAVR's. Our ICU-trained nurses handle everything from IABP's to ventilators, ensuring patients are stable before transferring them to the next level of care. They work autonomously, closely collaborating with the cardiac surgery team to ensure optimal outcomes.
