Job summary
The Laborer performs a variety of manual or semiskilled tasks related to road building and maintenance of road building equipment and facilities.- Digs out and prepares areas, removes old pavement, cleans surfaces, and applies tack oil for bonding.
- Shovels, spreads, rakes, and smooths hot asphalt to proper grade and thickness.
- Matches and finishes fresh asphalt joints, ensuring a smooth well knit surface between roller passes.
