    Description

    Planate Management Group (PMG) is a small business that offers program management and facilities engineering services for the US Department of Defense and other federal agencies across the globe.

    The Civil Structural Engineer role involves planning and executing independent work in engineering, designing, and construction management. The position requires the ability to devise innovative solutions to problems, ensure compliance with codes and engineering standards, and manage design projects.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Perform design work for construction and renovation projects
    • Interpret traditional methods and develop design calculations and layouts
    • Provide civil design services and structural evaluations
    • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for design review and project mobilization
    • Manage and evaluate facility design work
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
    • Conduct construction management duties including document review and inspections
    • Perform other assigned duties

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
    • Degree in civil/structural engineering
    • Minimum of four years of design experience
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques
    • Experience with military programming rules is desirable
    • Effective communication and leadership skills
