- Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs on clinical laboratory instruments from manufacturers such as Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Hitachi, IL, Olympus, Ortho, Roche, Siemens, Sysmex, and Thermo Scientific.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and automated systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize instrument performance.
- Experience with Beckman Coulter analyzers is required.
- Customer Support - resolve technical issues efficiently and educate users on instrument operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- Quality Assurance - ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA) during service activities. Participate in proficiency testing and quality control procedures.
- Candidates must be able to lift, lower, carry, push, pull 1-50 lbs. frequently and lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch, crawl, push, pull, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Candidates must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex and extend neck, have good hand and finger dexterity.
- Ability to work in tight spaces.
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Instrument Technician (CLIT) preferred
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing clinical laboratory instruments
- Proficiency with instrument models from specified manufacturers such as Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Hitachi, IL, Olympus, Ortho, Roche, Siemens, Sysmex, Thermo Scientific
- Road Warrior - up to 75% travel through designated area with periodic overnights
- Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, clean driving record
- Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate)

As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) Level II, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and servicing clinical laboratory equipment sold by LAS. Your expertise and dedication to quality work ensures that our diagnostic instruments operate efficiently, contributing to accurate test results and patient well-being. Requires extensive travel to provide on-site instrument service to customers.
