- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, in accordance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods and materials to and from designated locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order and report any issues to the maintenance department.
- Adhere to established routes and schedules, making adjustments as needed to accommodate changes in delivery requirements or traffic conditions.
- Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transportation.
- Complete all required paperwork, such as logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and the public.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the company.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A or B CDL Driver.
- Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
- Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to complete required paperwork accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
