CT Technologist Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist (CT Tech) experience in hospital radiology or diagnostic imaging

Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License

ARRT (CT) certification required

BLS (AHA) certification

EPIC EMR experience (required) — experience with EPIC documentation and image workflow

Contrast injection experience (required)

Ability to obtain intravenous access for CT procedures

Previous or current travel experience strongly encouraged (travel CT jobs experience)

GE scanner experience preferred (CT scanner experience)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced hospital radiology environment

Basic computer skills for PACS, RIS, and EMR interaction

Must have own vehicle for reliable transportation to facility

COVID vaccination strongly encouraged, but not required

Completion of required onboarding training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS)

Compliance with all facility medical/vaccination requirements

Permanent address must be outside restricted New York counties

Key Responsibilities — CT / Computed Tomography

Perform a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures using independent judgment and prescribed techniques

Complete routine and emergency diagnostic CT procedures efficiently and accurately

Administer contrast injections and monitor patients during contrast-enhanced studies

Obtain intravenous access for CT contrast administration

Prioritize and organize daily workflow to ensure timely patient care in the radiology unit

Communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members

Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in the EPIC EMR system and PACS

Adhere to hospital policies, radiation safety protocols, and dress code

Note:
Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application (no more than 5 days). No block scheduling. Orientation is 8 hours (non-billable). Facility may cancel up to 5 shifts per contract with 2 hours' notice.
