    Summary of Role:

    The Clinical Laboratory Consultant. This is a part-time, remote, and passive role for a Waive Lab in CA. Must have CLIA experience, Certificate of Qualification for the state of CA in Virology, and waive lab tests experience hours a month.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assistance in setting up a CLIA application.
    • Purchasing and setting up lab equipment
    • Must be able to provide and explain medical laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic information, products, and services.
    • Adheres to laboratory tests preparation procedures.
    • Implements new programs, tests, methods, and instrumentation.
    • Establishes quality standards to maintain medical laboratory equipment performance.
    • Keeps supplies stocked by determining inventory level.
    • Maintains medical laboratory productivity by monitoring the workload of functional areas.
    • Achieves quality performance and laboratory services.
    • Identifies informational needs to manage medical laboratory information systems.
    • Maintains medical laboratory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
    • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
    • Counsels and disciplines employees as needed to achieve productivity and HR goals.
    • Complies with state and proper health standards.
    • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned and delegated by the state and executive management

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • CLIA Experience / Certification
    • PHD Degree in Biological or Clinical Laboratory Science
    • High complexity or waived lab tests experience
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • ASCP Certification
    • Certificate of Qualification for California in Virology
    • Molecular management experience
    • Ability and drive to solve practical problems
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Project management skills, including the ability to track and manage inventory
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business inquiries, including technical RFQ/RFP
    • Excellent multitasking skills
