    Job Description

    The Material Handlers follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in daily activities. Performs receiving, picking, shipping, equipment monitoring and material control. Revises SOP's. Initiates and completes deviations, as required. Provides leadership to other team members.

    Shift: Monday-Friday 40 hours/week 7am-4pm

    Responsibilities:

    Material Handler I: (Primary responsibilities, but these individuals could also take on some Material Handler II and III responsibilities, which can be seen below)

    • Picks for production at FMC
    • Picks / delivery for production at GPF
    • General supply maintenance
    • Non-GMP receiving
    • Non-GMP deliveries
    • Paper/FedEx supplies in admin area
    • Routine cleaning
    • Material handling equipment / fleet maintenance
    • Non-GMP and GMP material shipments (excluding hazmat)
    • Management of LN2 cylinders
    • Cycle counts
    • Train others on appropriate tasks/systems
    • Coordination of receiving dock
    • Support OE/6S mind set

    Material Handler II adds:

    • Delivery for production at GPF
    • Expired material program
    • Support freeze/thaw activities
    • Non-GMP and GMP shipments (including hazmat)
    • Cell bank control

    Material Handler III adds:

    • International shipments, including all documentation
    • Cross training – GMP receipt/inspection/put away
    • Shipment of BDS
    • Cross training – Weigh/Dispense
    • Review/revise SOPs
    • Access to TrackWise for CAPAs, VSCRs, non-conformances.
    • Reviews logbooks as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    • Drivers license required.
    • Forklift certification a plus.

    Computer Skills:

    • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word a plus.
    • Experience using SAP a plus.

    Organization Skills:

    • Ability to prioritize work requirements, must be well organized and able to manage time efficiently, and must have a strong sense of responsibility.
