This position is unclassified per Section A)(29).

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check.  Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position.  An individual assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.

The final applicants selected for these positions will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment.

Job Skills: Transportation

What You Will Do:

• Flag/traffic control for highway maintenance

• Drive pickup truck to set out/pick up signs & follow mowing crew

• Roadside litter pickup, clean &/or wash vehicles & equipment

• Clean/hose down garage areas

• Use weed eater to trim around buildings, fences, etc.

• Help clean up roadsides when work crews are cutting brush/tree trimming

• Answer phone &/or radio when clerk is unavailable

These are seasonal temporary positions with an anticipated start date of May 4, 2026, and end date of September 4, 2026. There are multiple positions, your application will be considered for all positions.
