Position Summary
Location: Parker Meggitt Engineered Materials Group-CFC-San Diego (Mira Mesa)

Working under minimal supervision, the Production Machinist in the 3rd shift (Monday to Friday, 7:30PM-5AM, 9/80 workweek) carries out specialized machine operations, offering technical support to production team members, all while adhering to safety protocols.

Job Core Responsibilities

Assisting in the setup of complex production equipment, conducting tests, analyses, and calibrations following company safety procedures
Installing, maintaining, repairing, rebuilding, and operating various machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
Diagnosing issues, determining repair needs, replacing worn parts, and reassembling machinery
Performing machining operations on parts, reading instructions, sketches, blueprints, and manuals
Meeting specifications with little supervision and addressing problems effectively
Completing assigned tasks and ensuring punctual attendance
Being adaptable to work night shifts, weekends, and extra hours as needed

Job Specifications

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
Certifications: Vocational training or apprenticeships in the field
Years Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience
Skills:

Experience in specialized machine operations
Proficiency in machining tools and hand tools operation
Ability to interpret instructions and solve problems
Effective communication skills
Salary range specified for California only, based on various factors
