    Description

    The Abacus Cook is responsible for preparing pre planned ingredients for the children in our Care. As well as producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on the needs of the center and Children, communicate with staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive, healthy presentation for each meal. Abacus Child Care is dedicated to creating a safe, Clean, learning environment where Children can thrive and grow.

    Job Hours:

    Morning shift 6:00am-2:00pm

    afternoon shift 3pm-6:00pm

    Job requirements:

    must have highschool diploma

    Safe serve certified

    familiarity with CACFP.

    experience in serving in Childcare facility/ school

    Must keep a Clean/sanitized kitchen at all times

    must be able to work on feet for 6 hours or more at a time

    must be able to lift up to 60lbs

    must be flexible with hours

    Must be able to work and or adapt to any other needs of the childcare facility

    must complete a full background check

    must complete educational training to work in a childcare facility
