    Engineer - IA

    Cedar Rapids, IA

    Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

    The client

    is

    looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our talented

    team. As a Control

    Systems Engineer, you will be working with several of our

    customers designing

    and developing controls systems for various different

    manufacturing environments.

    Control Systems Engineer responsibilities will include:


    Job Duties:
    Provides

    application/control systems design and development for systems

    of varied complexity.

    Develops and evaluates

    alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements.

    Modifies program/system

    logic involving multiple systems and subsystems.

    Develops proficiency in

    several programming languages and control device networks for

    PLCs, PCs, or DCS systems.

    Interacts with customers

    to gain an understanding of the business environment. Defines

    scope, plans and deliverables for assigned work.

    Work successfully in a

    matrix structure; focused strongly on customer service and

    personnel growth.

    Job Requirements

    A minimum of a BS or MS in

    Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer

    Engineering from an accredited college/university or

    equivalent experience.

    Minimum 3 years work

    experience in industrial controls and system integration with

    a strong focus (50% +) on software design and programming.

    Ability to handle multiple

    tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and

    able to learn new technologies quickly.

    Material handling or

    process control design, development and troubleshooting

    experience.

    Rockwell SLC500 up to

    ControlLogix PLC Programming experience.

    PLC-based hardware design

    experience.

    Networking experience

    including any of the following- EtherNet/IP, ControlNet and

    DeviceNet (Profibus a plus).

    Schematic design using

    AutoCAD or similar

    Experience successfully

    interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of

    responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment.

    Willingness to work beyond

    core business hours if necessary, to minimize business

    interruption during planned or unplanned system modifications.

    Have solid verbal and

    written communication skills.

    Additional

    CoDeSys experience

    Mobile PLC controller

    PID loops and motion

    control tuning

    Servo design, development

    and troubleshooting experience of advanced motion control

    systems including multi axis, coordinated axis applications is

    a plus.

    Experience with HMI

    programing

    Vision system experience

    is a plus

    Experience coordinating

    and integrating OEM equipment into Packaging and/or Material

    Handling systems

    AutoCAD experience

    Knowledge of NEC electric

    code.

    • Do you have experience with Software's: Allen Bradley,
    Rockwell, HMI

    Programming, Controls PLC, AutoCAD


    • Do you have a minimum 3 years of work experience in industrial controls and
    system

    integration, with a strong emphasis on software design and

    programming.

    Do you have proficiency

    in PLC programming, particularly with Rockwell SLC500 up to

    ControlLogix PLCs.

    4.

    Do you have competence

    in HMI programming.

    5.

    Do you have experience

    with CoDeSys and mobile PLC controllers.


    • Do you have understanding of PID
    loops and

    motion control tuning.

    7.

    Do you have experience coordinating and integrating OEM equipment

    into

    Packaging and/or Material Handling systems

    8.

    Do you have AutoCAD experience


    • Do you have knowledge of NEC electric code.

    Must be a US
