    The role of a Dining Room Attendant is crucial in creating a positive dining experience for guests. They're not just responsible for serving food and beverages but also for ensuring that guests feel welcomed and attended to throughout their meal. Keeping the dining area clean, well-stocked, and organized contributes significantly to the overall ambiance and satisfaction of guests.

    Beyond just maintaining the physical space, Dining Room Attendants should also be knowledgeable about the menu offerings, including prices and ingredients, so they can assist guests with any questions or special requests they may have. By providing efficient and friendly service, they contribute to the overall guest satisfaction and help uphold the reputation of the establishment.

    In essence, a Dining Room Attendant is a frontline ambassador for the restaurant, embodying its service standards and ensuring that every guest leaves with a positive impression.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including all tables and chairs, cleaning the coffee and drink equipment.


    • Restocks the dining room and bar with tableware, flatware, utensils, condiments, ice, and paper supplies


    • Prepare all beverage required for service, including coffee, iced tea and hot water.


    • Maintain high cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with Food Safety & Sanitation guidelines and the HACCP System.


    • Making sure food product is being dated and labeled


    • Greet guest after they are seated.


    • Assist restaurant servers to serve the guest.


    • Pour water and refill coffee and tea cups.


    • Perform outlet opening duties such as setting tables, chairs, stocking stations


    • Emptying and cleaning food carts


    • Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.


    • Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).


    • Adhere to all company, department policies, and state liquor laws regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages.


    • Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests' names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; and provide fast and friendly service to guests).


    • Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings (e.g., restaurants, theater, etc.), providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.


    • At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).


    • Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.


    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
