- Assists the therapists in activities related to direct patient care within the legal and professional scope of a Therapy Services Technician.
- Follows all duties and responsibilities assigned by licensed Therapy Services personnel.
- Applies modalities such as moist heat and ice packs, as directed by the therapist, monitoring patient response and reporting to the therapist immediately an adverse reaction by the patient.
- Assists the therapist with activities of daily living and patient ambulation, using walkers/crutches, transfers and assisting in exercise programs in a timely manner.
- Transports patients with medical record as assigned, using appropriate safety precautions and good body mechanics.
- Escorts patients into the treatment area, setting up the treatment booths for each patient's needs and cleaning treatment area after the treatment.
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1-3 months on-the-job training.
- Previous experience preferred.
