    Alaska Power & Telephone has a full-time opening for a Marketing and Sales Specialist based in Alaska.

    The Marketing and Sales Specialist will assist in the marketing and sales of AP&T's consumer and enterprise products. The position will assist the Director of Consumer and Enterprise Products with internal marketing and sales, as well as interacting with a 3rd party marketing team.

    This position will also assist with community engagement initiatives.

    This position can be from any AP&T location or an in-home office environment.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Marketing Strategy Development: Assist in the development and implement of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote AP&T's products to both residential and business customers.
    • Sales Execution: Drive sales efforts by identifying and pursuing new business and residential opportunities, managing leads, and converting prospects into customers.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends. Use insights to refine marketing and sales approaches.
    • Campaign Management: In coordination with the Director, plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.
    • Assist in supporting AP&T's Social Media channels and responding to customers in a positive, professional manner.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Director, customer service, engineering and technical support, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
    • Assist Director in monitoring and reporting on KPIs related to the consumer and enterprise products AP&T is selling.
    • Must be willing to travel to all communities to integrate with AP&T employees and lead engagement with the community.

    Education Required:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience Required:

    • Proven experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
    • Strong understanding of services in the telecommunications industry.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    • The employee may be occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and lift, handle, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust vision.
