    are seeking a dynamic professional to join our Public Sector Solutions Team.

    In this role, you will serve public sector clients including governmental and not-for-profit organizations in the following areas: advocacy, arts & culture, child & family services, community mental health, education, golf & country clubs, health services, housing services, human & social services, membership organizations, municipalities, private & community foundations, religion, senior services, substance abuse and youth services.


    How You Will Make an Impact at Rehmann:

    • As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor you will manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department and accounting functions, checking the accuracy of accounting transactions.
    • Supervise assigned staff and their transactional and reconciliation services, prepare monthly financial reports, maintain the general ledger, perform complex account reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of other financially related aspects such as electronic health records, member management records, grant reporting, etc. Also, as part of this position, you will coordinate projects such as overall budget creation and implementation as well as year-end close and reporting.

    Your Desired Skills, Values & Experiences:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and five or more years' experience in the public sector, at least two of which involve supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education. Public school, mental health, and not-for-profit experience a plus.
    • Excellent knowledge and experience with Excel, accounting software and databases, federal grant requirements, the ability to multitask, and a keen understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
    • Able to successfully work in a remote work environment including promoting a sense of teamwork and collaboration with a team that also works remotely.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • CPA or CGFM Certification
    • Experience with federal grants. Plus for experience with CMH/PIHP related grantsWe Put People First in all that we do.
