    Description

    The CDL Driver is tasked with transporting construction materials, goods, and equipment to construction sites using a company vehicle. This individual is skilled in loading and hauling various materials, capable of determining weights and capacities for transportation. The deliveries may involve providing materials promptly when the supplier faces schedule constraints, emphasizing the essence of timeliness.

    • 90% of deliveries are local
    • Home most evenings
    • Operate hot-shot style trick/trailer setups for hauling small construction equipment and materials


    Responsibilities:
    • Conduct daily vehicle safety and pre-trip inspections, including maintaining a driver's logbook
    • Operate a company-supplied Electronic Logging Device as per DOT regulations
    • Safely load, bind, and unload equipment and materials across all terrains
    • Transport goods to construction sites
    • Drive and maneuver vehicles safely in various conditions, ensuring proper handling and control
    • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and servicing
    • Travel to job sites, often exceeding 100 miles, and work outdoors


    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • CDL Class A Drivers License
    • Familiarity with local, state, and federal DOT regulations
    • 1-3 years of experience in hauling and transporting goods
    • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics
    • Proficiency in English communication


    Physical Demands and Working Environment:

    The job entails performing both indoor and outdoor tasks under various weather conditions, involving travel between different sites.

    Physical: Candidates need mobility to stand or sit for extended periods, perform movements in and out of vehicles, handle moderate weights, and have fine coordination skills.

    Vision: Normal visual range with or without correction

    Hearing: Normal audio range with or without correction
