    Description


    A small Engineering company is looking for a Remote Cost Estimator (avg hours a week, fluctuating) to support engineering/architecture projects by analyzing project cost and creating estimates.

    You would attend meetings as the main client contact for suggestions to reduce costs, and work under minimal supervision.

    Travel is within the US (WA, OR, AK, ID) 1, maybe 2 weeks a month, the rest of the month being remote.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Prepares quantity take-offs for projects throughout design.
    • Monitors development of design projects to ensure that the design team is staying with the
    construction cost limitation.


    • Reviews contractor estimates at the request of the client during construction.
    • Plans and develops projects
    • Reviews design documents for constructability and provides teams with feedback.
    • Investigates provided construction cost limitation to actual estimated construction cost and
    provides feedback during the proposal stage of the project.


    • Prepares reports for projects

    Required Skills & Experience

    US Citizen

    Bachelor's Degree

    2+ years' experience with Cost estimation, including project takeoffs

    Experience with RS Means, M-CASES, MII, or other cost estimating software

    Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    CAD, Bluebeam, Revit

    Experience with Project Management

    Experience with Federal Projects

    Experience with facility condition assessments

    SAVE, VA/VE, CVS Certification
