Tact Staff is looking for a travel nurse RN specialized in Med Surg / Telemetry for a nursing job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Guidelines for Margin/OT Billing - Candidates under a 48-hour contract will have overtime billed after reaching 48 hours.
ITC and permanent staff must have completed at least 6 months of service.
Nursys: Any hits are not permitted, any hit results in an automatic redirect.
Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
Specialty: MS/Tele, candidates can work 36 or 48 hours for this position.
Med Surg & MS/Tele Ratios: 1:5/6 with occasional 1:7. This facility has a high patient load and fast pace - candidates should ensure they meet the job requirements before applying.
Required Experience: 2 years
First-time travelers are welcome
Must work every other weekend
Floating Required: Willingness to float within their specialty and between campuses (4.5 miles apart)
Required Certifications: BCLS
Required Skills: Cardiac Monitoring, Colostomy Care, Feeding Tube Care and Management, Renal Failure, IV Therapy/Phlebotomy, Heparin/Insulin/PCA Experience, CVA, Respiratory/Thoracic Experience, and Wound Care
Preferred Skills: Management of Dysrhythmias, Post Angiogram, and Post MI
Must pass a cardiac exam during orientation
EMR experience is necessary, though orientation covers Meditech Expanse training.
