Leading publicly traded client is hiring a Staff Accountant in a highly visible role. 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or financial reporting desired.
Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant, Financial Reporting will be instrumental in the external reporting process, including assisting with the preparation of various reports filed with the SEC.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce timely and accurate reports in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Assist with the preparation of various reports to be filed with the SEC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K (earnings press releases), proxy statements and other filing documents.

Prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and analyses to support the financial statements, footnotes and MD&A disclosures. Work with external auditors in conjunction with the annual year-end audit and interim reviews. Duties And Ad Hoc Projects. Assist in the preparation of presentations for the Audit Committee and Disclosure Committee. Prepare documentation and facilitate testing of internal controls surrounding the financial reporting process to ensure compliance with SOX requirements. Continuously assess financial reporting processes for process improvements. Prepare reports/analyses and participate in other projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 1 to 3 years of experience, preferably at a public accounting firm or a public company. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge SEC reporting.
