    POSITION SUMMARY: CNC Programmer

    We are in search of a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to set up, program, and oversee operations of the CNC machinery cell. This role involves collaborating with production and engineers to enhance processes' efficiency while ensuring 100% tolerances of the final product based on the blueprint. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of the machines' capabilities to boost performance and determine the best tool path.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • CNC programming, setup, operation, and editing of CNC Machines using Mastercam versions 13 and 14
    • Troubleshoot and resolve ongoing CNC-related quality and buy-off issues
    • Optimize program and part-to-part cycle times consistently
    • Conduct setup and execute first article inspections
    • Troubleshoot part inaccuracies diligently to find optimal resolutions
    • Enhance productivity by simplifying program and tool paths, utilizing feed/speed, and fixture design
    • Adhere to schedule and quality standards, completing work promptly
    • Estimate and quote CNC cycle times accurately
    • Develop and produce fixtures
    • Handle special projects and other assigned duties by management

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in CNC setup, complex and production work with precise tolerance demands
    • Demonstrated expertise in Mastercam versions 13 and 14, understanding Feed & Speeds
    • Experience in 5 Axis machining and familiarity with DMS 5 Axis router
    • Proficiency in Fagor controller programming
    • Ability to program own work on Mastercam and maintain close tolerances
    • Skills in using inspection tools and interpreting blueprints
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Capability to work independently, meeting or exceeding production targets
    • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Outlook, and Word proficiency)
    • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary
    • Capability to work in varying temperature conditions for extended periods
    • Proficient in English communication

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Proficiency in CAD-CAM systems
    • Mastercam Certification
