- Plan, implement, direct, and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals given to you by the construction manager.
- Maintain construction schedules.
- Manage, organize, and monitor subcontractors' attendance and work progress.
- Ensure quality work and professional practices occur at job sites. Ensure compliance with safety rules and practices.
- Keep management updated daily on project developments, reporting needed RFI's and constraints to management.
- Coordinate site entry and use of machinery and equipment.
- Liaison with inspectors, subcontractors, and tenants.
- Prepare materials orders as needed and coordinate delivery/pick up of materials as required.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications and to understand the full scope of work.
- Knowledge of structures and framing, electrical, plumbing and other commercial trades.
- Ability to make sound decisions in the field, including when encountering irregular drawings or other construction challenges.
- Solid judgment in resolving minor issues and elevating significant issues to management.
- Good time management and professional relationship skills. A positive, patient disposition with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts between others in the field.
- Strong verbal and written communication ability, with attention to detail and documentation when appropriate.
