Job description
We are seeking a motivated, friendly, and reliable Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and play a key part in creating a welcoming, informative, and positive shopping experience. You'll handle transactions, assist with product knowledge and demonstrations, maintain store cleanliness, and contribute to sales through effective upselling.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions following proper cash-handling procedures
- Educate customers through product demonstrations and recommendations
- Upsell products in a helpful, customer-focused manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store at all times
- Perform cleaning duties throughout the shift and before closing (mopping, vacuuming, cleaning glass displays, countertops, etc.)
- Restock merchandise and stay up to date on current and new inventory
- Monitor popular items and customer requests for potential new products
- Answer customer questions professionally, including phone inquiries when needed
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals and maintain high customer service standards
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling
- Strong basic math skills
- Excellent communication and social skills (engaging with every customer is essential)
- Ability to confidently upsell and explain product features and benefits
- Familiarity with vaping and smoking products is a plus; willingness to learn is required
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be 21 years of age or older (no exceptions)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
