Description
The Registered Nurse serves as clinician, teacher, consultant, researcher and change agent in the specialty of wound, ostomy, and continence to affect quality care.
The person in this position cooperates with administration to establish major objectives and standards of patient care practice and assists nursing staff in complying with accrediting agency regulations.
This position will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team approach in the treatment of ostomies, stomas, acute and chronic wounds.
This position will coordinate treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessment and plan of care, including goals, implementation of treatment evaluation and outcomes for patient throughout the organization.
The position serves as a resource person for physician and clinical team.
