    Description

    This is a hybrid position - one day onsite per week at Washington Navy Yard.

    Teksouth is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Power Platform Developer to join our team. The developer will actively advise and participate in the architecture and hands-on development of applications primarily using the Microsoft Power Platform. The candidate should have extensive hands-on Power Apps and Power BI development experience and be well-versed in SharePoint.

    You will be expected to lead all aspects of the design and development of applications and analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements. You will also be expected to create documentation and Standard Operating Procedure documents for end-users. Your duties will include responsibility for analysis, design, coding, and testing of applications to support business solutions.


    Responsibilities

    • Develop applications utilizing Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
    • Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues with Power Apps, Power BI dashboards, and SharePoint lists.
    • Collaborate with the customer in translating user stories and requirements into functional code.
    • Participate in meetings, task groups, teams, reviews, and other environments to assist in collaborative solutions.
    • Identify critical dependencies and gaps, solve technical challenges, and implement new enhancements.
    • Define and develop methods for robust system monitoring and troubleshooting.
    • Work with other developers for continuous knowledge transfer.
    • Follow all best practices for version control and development management of apps and dashboards.
    • Review project deliverables for quality, completeness, and adherence to applicable regulations, customer requirements, and Teksouth standards.
    • Engage with stakeholders on prototyping to demonstrate the art of the possible and find creative solutions for complex business use cases.
    • Stay informed on best practices, new technologies, and approaches.
    • Conduct training on Teksouth-developed products related to customer needs.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent technical training and on-the-job experience
    • Must have an active Secret security clearance.
    • Extensive experience with Power Apps and Power BI development
    • Experience with SharePoint as a developer or admin.
    • Basic database development knowledge with at least one database platform (e.g., Dataverse, MS Access, SQL, etc.)
    • Strong MS Teams experience
    • Possess a customer-centric attitude with excellent communication skills, strong personal integrity, and teamwork abilities.

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Navy/DoD Financial Management experience
    • ADVANA or Navy ERP experience
    • Building Model-Driven or Canvas Power Apps
    • Basic knowledge of at least one programming, functional, and/or query language (e.g., M, DAX, Power FX, PQFL, SQL, VBA, etc.) in a professional or academic environment
    • Dataverse knowledge
    • Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows, or business process flows.
    • Business requirements gathering and analysis.
    • Custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate
    • Software development knowledge: ASP, .NET, Java, etc.
    • General web technologies including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
    • An eye for clean, easy-to-use, UI/UX implementations.
    • Tableau/Qlik experience
