    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Director, Compensation & Benefits, the Benefits Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating and administering corporate benefit plans and programs.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers the overall benefits plans and programs throughout the organization.
  • Works with HR team to create and administer New Hire Orientation, introducing benefits packages available to employees
  • Oversees annual open enrollment
  • Communicates with brokers in regard to the administration of the group medical, vision, dental, life, long-term and short-term disability, etc.
  • Reviews benefit invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Organizes benefit open enrollment meetings, and ensures that all employee health and welfare enrollment elections are processed accurately in the company and vendor systems; Communicates benefits information and assists employees with day-to-day benefits inquiries.
  • Manages timely and effective communication of benefits information to HR team, including new hires, open enrollment, and day to day routine communication.
  • Works with our brokers to ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations including ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ERISA.
    Ensures that new and terminated employees are appropriately noted, corresponding payroll deductions are correct and that calculations are accurate
  • Ensures compliance with ERISA and other legal requirements including but not limited to annual updates and communication of plan documents and summary plan descriptions
  • Harmonize and integrate benefit and compensation plans related to acquisitions.
  • Effectively manage all required reporting and compliance related to employee notifications and submission of 5500s
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements within the benefits administration function
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements within the Benefits and HRIS functions
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
  • Embodies the culture, values, and tenets of PharmaCann and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree preferred with 2 years Human Resources experience, including at least 1 years specializing in benefits administration
  • Previous experience in HRIS implementations, or systems optimization preferred
  • Highly analytical, with advanced Windows, Word, Excel (expert level), PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication skills required and the ability to interact with all levels
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Understanding of compliance components of managing benefit programs
  • Can-do attitude and approach
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
