This hybrid U.S.-based role focuses on revenue generation, client acquisition, strategic alliances, digital enablement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sustainable growth.
Location & EligibilityU.S.-based role (hybrid): candidates must reside in the United States and be authorized to work.
Requires a combination of on-site presence and remote collaboration.
Periodic travel for client meetings, industry conferences, and strategic engagements; expect up to 30–40% domestic travel on average (may include evenings or occasional weekends).

The Business Developer is expected to maintain a consistent on-site presence to collaborate with executive leadership, operations, and finance teams while leading strategic growth initiatives.

The Business Developer is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding key accounts, and aligning commercial strategy with operational capabilities.
This role partners closely with executive leadership, operations, finance, and technical teams to ensure profitable expansion, competitive positioning, and long-term customer value creation.
The Business Developer reports to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with executive leadership and the Board when required to support strategic growth initiatives.
The role collaborates cross-functionally with operations, finance, compliance, and technology teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational execution.
Regular reporting will occur through executive meetings, quarterly reviews, and strategic planning sessions.Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with long-term company objectives.
Identify new markets, verticals, and geographic expansion opportunities.
Support M&A evaluations, partnership models, and joint ventures to accelerate growth.
Revenue & Financial Performance
Drive new client acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
Develop pricing strategies and commercial models that improve margins and long-term value.
Partner with finance to forecast revenue, pipeline performance, and growth metrics.
Strategic Partnerships & External Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade associations, and networking events.
Negotiate contracts, master service agreements, and long-term service partnerships.
Operational Alignment
Collaborate with operations to ensure service delivery capability aligns with growth commitments.
Support scalable processes that enable distributed, multi-site expansion.
Ensure compliance and risk considerations are integrated into commercial decisions.
Digital & Competitive Positioning
Leverage digital tools, CRM systems, and data analytics to optimize pipeline visibility and forecasting.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
Contribute to digital modernization initiatives that enhance client engagement and operational efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications Required
8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience in business development, commercial strategy, or growth roles.
Proven experience driving revenue growth in energy services, utilities, infrastructure, or other regulated sectors.
Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and multi-site or distributed operations.
Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and pipeline forecasting.
Experience negotiating high-value contracts and strategic partnerships.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk considerations in infrastructure environments.
Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
Ability to undergo role-appropriate pre-employment screenings as required by law and position.
Acceptable Education and Equivalent Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field typical; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
Preferred
Background in energy services, power infrastructure, or mission-critical operational environments.
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related disciplines.
Experience supporting M&A transactions and strategic market expansion initiatives.
Familiarity with enterprise CRM systems and digital sales transformation initiatives.

Compensation Structure
Base Salary:
$150,000 – $220,000 annually (market-aligned range depending on experience).
